Trick anodized machined filler caps The stock unit features a internal hex to accept a allen wrench which can be awkward to use under the engine. The internal hex fills with dirt and need to be cleaned out before your wrench will fit, even then the fit is not that great..   Now Then, you have to remove this bolt that can become "frozen" in the engine case due to the repeated heating and cooling of the engine.

This replacement fixes the problem with a external hex design(13mm, just like KTM would use).
Just reach for you socket and ratchet!

We pay close attention to detail, around the fit up of the oil screen and it's O-ring seal gland.

Clutch Case Saver KTM 4 Stroke
Application: All Models 2008-2017 KTM ,Berg, Husqvarna 125,150,250,300,450,500,501 2 stroke and 4 stroke.
Instruct: Locate the side drain plug on your KTM 4 stroke (generally left) or 2 stroke (usually right) depending on your model. Lay the bike over, opposite the drain. Remove magnetic plug and install the STR drain tool seating the O-ring seal hand tight. Then add the supplied Tubing over the barb end of the drain toll. With catch pan located, lift the bike back to its wheels, oil dropping into the pan.

At this point, you can replace the stock drain bolt and fill with recommended amount of oil using the check screw for proper oil level. Or a faster and more accurate, as well as confidence inspiring trick is to Rotate the drain tube 180 degree on the fitting, so that when the bike is lifted the tube is facing upward. Now get the bike placed level and fill with recommended oil amount and type, by using the check screw. Now, notice the oil level in the clear drain tube... This is a positive visual of the actual oil level. By comparing, this
position or level to the position of the check screw better faster work habits can be made.

Of course it protects the Clutch slave cylinder from debris that may be thrown its way by the chain. This Slave cylinder needs protection as repeated pounding by the chain can damage it and brake fluid leakage here means failure.

The stock chain guide "Clogs" with mud in wet conditions . This translates into increased drag, Bogging down the engine and wearing the chain / sprockets.  

Note:    Stock chain guard is modified as shown below. To the right of the blade is used, as the "Bottom out rubbing block", for the chain.

Machined 6061 Aluminum 3 piece engine timing caps set for your Honda CRF/CRFX and Kawasaki KXF 450. Hex broached to fit metric allen wrenches. Machined from solid 6061 and anodized Castings are inexpensive and keep production costs down, all the companies use them. They do not offer the strength of a "milled from Billet", type structure. So, we came up with this 3D milled design. It is cut from a solid block of aircraft grade Aluminum, not a casting. This Guard mounts up closely to the stock clutch cover. Applications: 2 stroke, 250-300, yr 04-2012 Adding silicone sealant between the two pieces will add still more shock value / reliability, while also keeping dirt out. * We have not been able to find (single use) packets of Silicone seal, as of yet. The guard is held in place at the 4 + 7 " O Clock " stock mounting points, with supplied S.S. hardware. Supplied with 5mm Stainless Steel hardware.
