You tap the ends of your bars (No Tap supplied) and install the threaded inserts with a 8mm allen wrench / use blue Loctite. If you are swapping out your bars ... Grab that 8mm allen wrench to remove inserts and reuse in new bars.

install and removal work easily.
with the internal 8mm hex in the end of the insert. (picture)
